Xbridge offer a complete service for the recycling and disposal of computer, telecommunications and network equipment including hubs, switches, routers and ethernet cables. We also recycle and re-use electrical cables and power supplies. Where found to be suitable these are redeployed in the UK and Worldwide.

We can carry out recycling of all equipment found to be unsuitable for re-use. Such units are recycled into component form. Circuit boards are stripped and melted down. Metal cases are also melted down for metal extraction. Plastics can now be recycled by turning them into chips for re-use. All cables are sorted, tested, and re-used wherever possible to reduce the impact on the environment. The remainder are sent to be melted down.

WASTE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT (WEEE) DIRECTIVE:
This directive sets targets for companies to dispose of IT and electronic equipment in line with the rest to Europe aiming to have around 75% of equipment recycled in the best possible manner.Compliance or Responsibility?
The issue here isn’t just about complying with the WEEE Directive, but about the responsible disposal of end of life equipment, irrespective of any legislation. No one can ignore the growing demand for goods and services to be delivered in a socially and environmentally responsible way, while in a cost effective manner. It is especially important for you to show awareness of your own corporate social responsibilities.
